A lovely over the cup style sterling tea strainer hallmarked for the assay town of Chester and the year 1911. The delicate pierced strainer has a slender Mother of Pearl handle. 

English sterling silver, bearing marks for Chester, and L for 1911, Lion passant for sterling guarantee, and the maker's mark of SB & SLD for
S. Blankensee & Son Ltd.

Measurements; 5 3/4" long and 2 5/8" wide

Condition Report; Good, a few tiny dings in accordance with age and use. I suspect the handle had a repair at on point; however, it is well done and does not affect the use of the strainer. Priced with this in mind. Still lovely and very useful.
