About This Piece
A large silver plate serving tray by the highly respected firm of Christofle. The tray is decorated with a raised border and acanthus leaves wrapping around the wood handles — perfect for a tea service, cocktail tray, or serving appetizers in style.
Hallmarks & Provenance
French silver plate, early 20th century. Marked for Christofle with their balance or scales stamp — the stamp is quite worn, with only the scales clearly visible. Christofle was officially founded in Paris in 1830 as a partnership between Charles Christofle and his brother-in-law, Joseph-Albert Bouilhet.
A signature at delivery will be required for the tray.

Condition
Good overall. Plating is still bright. Several scratches and a few dings on the tray surface, all in accordance with age and use. These are difficult to capture in photographs due to the reflectivity of the silver — the last two images have been darkened to better show them.
