Empire Style Sterling Silver Tableware-The Art of the Dinner Table

A fine French sterling silver napkin ring in the Empire style.  The focal of the napkin ring, the oval cartouche is adorned with flowing ribbons and delicate floral motifs, echoed on each side by finely detailed panels and scroll-work.  The napkin ring reflects the craftsmanship and artistic flourish of late 19th C Paris.

French sterling silver, marked with the Minerve 1st Titre Mark for .950 silver. Makers punch is for Emile Huignard,3 rue de Bretagne, Paris, active January 13, 1880.

Measurements; 41 gram weight, 2” in diameter and 1 ½” high, 42 grams in weight.
