About This Piece

An antique American sterling silver and gilt fluted vase, c. 1902–1907. The wide fluted top narrows to the foot and circular base. A scroll monogram for the letter "S" embellishes the front. The gilt interior catches the eye and provides protection from plant material. At 192 grams (6.17 troy ounces), a substantial and beautifully made piece.

American sterling silver. Marked with the manufacturer’s mark and director’s letter "C" for Charles T. Cook, director 1902–1907.

Condition

Very good for age and use. Small dent to the body and several small bends on the fluted edges — felt more than seen. Minor loss of gilt wash on the interior edges.
