A Victorian sterling silver wine label or bottle ticket for Cognac, Birmingham 1879, by Henry Manton. Rectangular in form with canted corners and raised bead detail; inscribed "Cognac." A classic and elegant decanter label in very good condition.

English sterling silver, .925. Marked with the Lion Passant for sterling, Anchor for Birmingham assay office, Monarch’s mark for Victoria, date letter "e" for 1879, and maker’s mark for Henry Manton, Birmingham.
