About This Piece
An English silver plate and glass inkwell stand with a fully realised equestrian theme. The stand features a large glass block inkwell with a silver-plated collar and lid, shell and leaf motifs on the base, and on one corner a hunt saddle with crop and fox head. An excellent choice for a fox hunter’s or sporting enthusiast’s desk or writing collection.

Condition
Very good. Silver plate shows little wear with small areas of tarnish. The decorative saddle, crop, and fox element has slight movement — secured by two screws visible from the base.
