About This Piece
Grand and glorious, this large French sterling silver and crystal claret jug stands a generous 12¼ inches high. The sterling silver mount is richly decorated with Rococo and floral motifs, and the jug rests on a sterling silver round base. The fine crystal body features additional engraved workmanship including a monogram on the front, which appears to be "TC". A large shell-shaped thumb rest adds further distinction to the hinged lid.
A commanding presence on any table or bar — equally at home in a serious silver collection or in active use at a grand dinner.
