About This Piece
A stunning antique French double inkwell in bronze and mother of pearl, late 19th century. Exquisite twig and leaf design throughout; two recessed ink pots with pen rest and a mother of pearl dip pen (a sympathetic early 20th-century replacement). The two pieces look quite beautiful together. A simply stunning piece for a desk or entrance hall table.
Note: the lids to the ink pots are no longer with the set, though lids can be improvised if desired.
Provenance
French, late 19th century. Dip pen is an early 20th-century replacement.

Condition
Very good. Mother of pearl in very good condition. One MOP tray has a slight wiggle but remains tight in the bronze holder. Ink pot lids missing.
