About This Piece
A set of twelve French silver and horn dinner knives with silver caps and ferrules decorated in Empire motifs. The ferrules feature laurel bands and ribbons, while the caps are adorned with beautiful bows and ribbons, crossed arrow-filled quivers, and torches — the caps and ferrules are truly delightful. The horn handles range from blonde to medium brown and are in very good condition.
A perfect set to mix with your existing silverware to create unique and characterful place settings for your next dinner party.
Provenance
French, late 19th century. Caps and ferrules are unmarked, which is not unusual for this type of cutlery.
