About This Piece
An antique French sterling silver egg cup resting on three legs with acanthus leaf motifs. A decorative band encircles the holder with further acanthus leaves, and the cup has been engraved with the name "Lise" — a charming personal touch. A perfectly elegant way to enjoy one’s breakfast egg.
Silver egg cups are wonderfully versatile — consider repurposing for small chocolates on a guest nightstand, holding rings by the sink, or for tiny flower arrangements. If used for flowers, always place a small inner cup to hold water, as stem decay can etch into silver.
