About This Piece
A fine French sterling silver napkin ring worked in the Rococo or Louis XVI style, c. 1880, by Émile Huignard. Flowers and vines decorate the piece with an abundant use of acanthus detail. Monogrammed in old script — initials difficult to decipher with certainty. At 48 grams, a substantial and beautifully worked ring.
Hallmarks & Provenance
French sterling silver, .950, 1st Titre. Marked with the Minerva 1st Titre mark and maker’s mark EH (axe) for Émile Huignard.
