About This Piece
A pair of antique French sterling silver salt cellars with crystal liners and gilt interiors, c. 1900. In the Empire style, each salt is adorned with acanthus leaves at each end and an acanthus leaf swag along the edges. Both crystal liners and gilt interiors are in very good condition — a complete and elegant pair ready for the table.
Hallmarks & Provenance
French sterling silver, .950, 1st Titre. Marked with the Minerva 1st Titre mark and maker’s punch, c. 1900.
