An antique French sterling silver hanging basket-style tea strainer in the Art Nouveau manner, decorated with flowers and a butterfly. A very light monogram on the front appears to read "MB". A perfect gift for a tea connoisseur — delicate, decorative, and entirely functional.

French sterling silver, .950, c. 1900. Marked with the Minerva 1st Titre mark and maker’s punch for Léontine Compère, who succeeded Ernest Compère (active 1868–1888) — a running rabbit (un lapin courant), 79 Rue Quincampoix, Paris.
