About This Piece
A beautiful French sterling silver timbale featuring an urn overflowing with roses and a ribbon motif, created during La Belle Époque — that golden period of French life between 1880 and the start of the First World War, marked by peace, optimism, and a flourishing of the arts. On the reverse, a matching cartouche has been left unmonogrammed, ready for a personal inscription. These wonderful French silver cups offer multiple uses, from drinking to decorating.

Condition
Very good. Micro surface scratches in accordance with age and use. Several small dings on the bottom, visible only when the cup is inverted — not seen in the upright position. A ding is also present inside the cup but is not visible or felt on the exterior.
