About This Piece
A fine and whimsical novelty silver double inkwell with a fully realised equestrian theme. The two inkpots are fitted with jockey cap lids; a large horseshoe-shaped pen holder at the rear has "nails" for a pen rest; a horse figure stands at the centre; and a small well at the front holds change or small writing accessories. An excellent and characterful addition to a desk or library.

Condition
Overall very good. No chips or cracks on the inkpots. One inkpot has a few breaks in the inside silver rim (shown in photographs) and one jockey cap lid has a little play. The horseshoe pen holder has a slight play but sits tight. All in accordance with age and use.
