An ornate French silver plate jardinière or centrepiece planter, oval in form on hoof-shaped feet, early 20th century, by Cailer Bayard & Cie (Noel Cailer & Pierre Bayard), Paris. Detailed with bead decoration and pierced scrollwork throughout; large scroll handles decorated with leaves and clusters of berries; each side features a large oval cartouche with ribbons and raised beadwork. A fine piece to accent a buffet or dining table, offering endless design possibilities for all seasons. Liner included.

Condition
Very good. Silver plate in very good condition. Liner bright and in very good condition; one lift ring is missing — the liner still lifts easily using the single remaining ring. Liner has minor dings and a few dark spots from items resting inside.
