About This Piece
A set of eight Royal Crown Derby ramekins with under-plates in the Mikado pattern — a blue and white chinoiserie design with gilt edges. The Mikado pattern was designed in 1894 by Derby’s art director Thomas Amos Reed, who drew inspiration from rice paper drawings he had obtained in the Far East. A fine set to mix with any solid white or blue and white dinnerware.
