About This Piece
A vintage pair of black leather riding boots with mahogany tops and original wooden boot trees, made by Peal & Co — the celebrated London bootmakers. The trees bear name plaques for Count A. de Laubespin, whose family owned racehorses. The boots appear to have been worn very little; soles and all stitching remain in good condition. To wear or to display — a distinguished piece of equestrian history.
