About This Piece
A fine French silver timbale, cup, or beaker worked in the Louis XVI style. The front features a large cast and applied oval cartouche in the form of a shield with a winged bird at the top, decorated with torch and arrow motifs, ribbons, and laurel leaves, finished with cross ribbons over bands. A monogram appearing to be "T" is engraved on the cartouche. A very pleasing example of French timbale work at 89 grams. Perfect for wine or mint juleps — always an appreciated gift for weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries.

French silver, .800, c. 1900. Marked with the Minerva 2nd Titre mark for .800 silver. Maker’s punch currently being researched.

Condition
Very good. Clean interior with a few micro scratches in accordance with age and use. Three small shocks at the base (most visible when the cup is turned over) and several very small creases. Price reflects these minor issues.
