A fine French silver timbale, cup, or beaker worked in the Louis XVI style. The front features a large cast and applied oval cartouche in the form of a shield with a winged bird at the top, decorated with torch and arrow motifs, ribbons, and laurel leaves, finished with cross ribbons over bands. A monogram appearing to be "T" is engraved on the cartouche. A very pleasing example of French timbale work at 89 grams. Perfect for wine or mint juleps — always an appreciated gift for weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries.
