About This Piece

An antique French sterling silver egg cup resting on three legs, decorated in the Louis XVI style with gorgeous cast and applied motifs featuring a torch, quiver with arrows, and flowers. Two decorative bands further encircle the cup. A perfectly elegant way to enjoy one’s breakfast egg, and a piece of exceptional craftsmanship with an eye-catching design.

Silver egg cups are wonderfully versatile — consider repurposing for small chocolates on a guest nightstand, holding rings by the sink, or for tiny flower arrangements. If used for flowers, always place a small inner cup to hold water, as stem decay can etch into silver.
