About This Piece
An exceptional antique French sterling silver flatware service for twelve, 70 pieces, by Lappara & Gabriel, 157 Rue du Temple, Paris (active 1902–1923). Beautifully decorated with crossed ribbons, small bows, and bell-flowers throughout. At 3,758 grams (120.82 troy ounces) of .950 silver, this is a substantial and complete service. Storage chest included.
Of note: a monogram "W" graces almost every piece of the set. Eight of the coffee spoons are monogrammed "CV" while four carry the initials "SB." One dessert spoon has no monogram.
