An antique French sterling silver over-the-cup tea strainer with vermeil interior, c. 1900. Beautiful details abound — a large shell commands the eye first, followed by a delicate handle with ribbon and bellflower motifs, and ribbon and swag decoration on each side of the bowl. A substantial and decorative piece at 50 grams.
