A whimsical set of twelve French silver plate dinner knife rests by Stéphane Prudhomme, c. 1930. Each is cast with one of three scenes from Aesop’s Fables — four depicting the Tortoise and the Hare, four the Two Pots, and four the Fox and the Stork. Excellent detail on each design. A charming and conversation-worthy addition to any formal table.

Condition
Very good. Normal surface scratches in accordance with age and use. One rest does not sit perfectly level, though this does not affect its function for holding a knife.
