About This Piece
A Tiffany & Co. silver ice bucket with a pierced drain insert, in the form of a bucket with reeded bands and an ornate script monogram. Marked "silver soldered" — a construction method Tiffany used from 1885 to 1939, in which joints were heavily plated to create exceptionally sturdy pieces. A fine collectible from the past, ready for your cocktail bar.
Silver soldered pieces were made for restaurants, trains, and private clubs, as well as for personal use sold directly from Tiffany’s Broadway store in New York City — a fascinating chapter in the firm’s history.
