Vintage Pair of Christofle France Ice Buckets

A handsome and increasingly difficult to find pair of French silver plate ice buckets by Christofle, each fitted with swing handles and removable drainer inserts. The pattern is Vendome which features the classical form of a shell motif. The shell is among Christofle’s most iconic patterns, lending the pair a timeless sophistication equally suited to a formal bar, dining room, or beautifully appointed entertaining piece.

Condition

Very good vintage condition. Normal surface wear in accordance with age and use. minor surface scratches consistent with age and careful use. Silver plate is in very good condition.  A few small tarnish spots are present to the interiors. One swing handle would benefit from slight tightening. Overall, an exceptionally decorative and functional pair with excellent presence.
