Antique French Sterling Silver Tea Strainer: Gilt Vermeil, Guilloché Work

An antique French sterling silver tea strainer with a rich vermeil (gilt) wash, circa 1900. This refined over-the-cup strainer features a gracefully shaped handle adorned with shell and leaf motifs. The bowl is beautifully pierced with delicate, decorative work—an fine example of early 20th-century French craftsmanship.

A thoughtful and timeless gift for any tea lover.

Crafted in France in .950 sterling silver, confirmed by the Minerva 1st Standard mark. Maker’s mark currently under research.

Measurements; 6: long , 2 7/8”” wide ¾” deep, 42 grams in weight

Condition Report:
Very good overall condition. Light surface scratches consistent with age and gentle use. Extremely minor bends along the bowl’s edge. The gilt wash remains vibrant with only slight, expected wear.
