About This Piece

A set of twelve elegant French silver plate escargot forks, decorated in the Louis XVI style with a quiver of arrows crossed with a flambeau (flaming torch), ribbons, and floral motifs. The neck of each fork is further adorned with swags and floral details — exquisite work that sets them well apart from the ordinary. The presentation case is included; while it is not known if the case is original to the set, the forks fit snugly inside.

Condition
