A fine French silver timbale with a central cartouche and applied rocaille motifs. The timbale or beaker has been engraved with the initials “SS”. The beaker was created by Puiforcat, one of the most prominent and well-known silver smiths in France.The cup has a weighs 126 grams, offering a nice feel in hand.
Perfect for wine and Mint Juleps, the silver cups are always an appreciated gift for weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries.
French silver .950 as denoted by the Minerve Titre punch. Also punched with the maker’s mark for Puiforcat. “E” and “P” along with a penknife, the mark of Emile Puiforcat.
Measurements; 3 1/4 high and 2 7/8” wide at the top, 126 grams in weight
Condition Report; fine surface scratches and a few small dings to the bottom edge. I have tried to show these in a photo. When the cup is resting on a table these are not very noticeable.
