French Silver Plate Escargot Servers or Snail Tongs

A French silver plate escargot tong in a beautifully uncommon grapevine motif. The grasping ends are formed as deeply detailed grape leaves, while the base is adorned with cascading leaves and a sculptural cluster of grapes. Additional grape leaf detailing continues along the handles, giving the piece a wonderfully cohesive and decorative design.

Both elegant and whimsical, this server captures the artistry and refinement associated with French table service.

Condition
