An antique sterling silver cheese scoop by Frank W Smith with pierced handle and a floral/acanthus leaf motif. The pattern is similar to Dominick and Haff's Trianon; however, the pierced work is not as open. Also, the floral and acanthus work is closer together.
American sterling silver, C 1890 marked for Frank W Smith, Garadner, MA (1886-1950s) Arthur Stone worked for Smith during the early years of the business as a designer before starting his own silver company.
Measurements; 6 3/8” long and 39 grams in weight
Condition Report; Very good, micro scratches in accordance with age and use. Lovely soft warm patina
