About This Piece
An antique English Victorian sterling silver place card holder, hallmarked 1894. The holder features a floral wreath with a bow set on a rectangular base with gadrooned edges, and bears a family crest with an antelope’s head. Designed with a slight lean away from the guest, it is ideal for place cards or small menus — note that a large menu may lose effect at the angle.

English sterling silver. Marked with the Lion Passant for sterling, Sheffield assay mark, date letter "b" for 1894, and maker’s mark J D & S for James Dixon and Sons.
