A George III sterling silver tea caddy spoon in the form of a jockey’s cap, London 1810. The plain centre button is surrounded by bright-cut engraved decoration on the brim. Unusual forms of Georgian tea caddy spoons are among the most highly collectible silver objects of the era — the jockey’s cap is one of the most sought-after.

Hallmarks & Provenance

English sterling silver, .925. Marked with the Lion Passant for sterling, date letter "P" for 1810 (London), and Monarch’s mark. Maker’s mark too worn to read.
