An antique French sterling silver tea strainer with a warm vermeil (gilt) wash, c. 1900. This over-the-cup style strainer features a delicate handle embellished with floral and leaf motifs. The bowl is decorated with raised bands of crossed ribbons and acanthus leaves, complemented by refined pierced work and a softly sculpted floral-petal design.

Condition
Very good overall. Light surface scratches consistent with age and use. Several small dings and bends along the outer edge of the bowl. The gilt wash shows wear but retains a subtle golden glimmer. These points are reflected in the pricing.
