About This Piece
An antique Gorham sterling silver cheese scoop in the Imperial Chrysanthemum pattern — one of Gorham’s most celebrated designs, featuring chrysanthemums from bud to full bloom, with acanthus leaves and shell motifs. A script monogram appearing to read "GC" is on the front of the scoop.
The Imperial Chrysanthemum pattern was designed by William C. Codman, originally from England, who as designer and President took Gorham to the forefront of the American silver industry. Additional cheese scoops are available in the shop.
