About This Piece
A beautiful French silver and vermeil competition award or trophy, c. 1930. Laurel leaves and oak leaves with delicate acorns embellish the piece; a small engraved plaque in the form of a ribbon decorates the bottom. Two round hooks on the reverse — one for hanging, one likely for mounting on a stand. A stunning piece for display or to hang on a wall. Unlike most awards crafted in base metal, this one is marked with the French boar’s head for .800 silver.
