About This Piece
A superb antique French cave à liqueur or decanter box, c. 1850. The fine wood case has a hinged and folded front with hinged sides, opening to reveal a handled removable tray with gilt metal fitted mounts holding four crystal decanters and sixteen matching liqueur glasses. The crystal is beautifully detailed with small gilt stars and thick gilt bands around the necks and stoppers — most likely Baccarat. A magnificent and complete set.
