Vintage French Rooster Decanters, Set of Two

About This Piece

A charming pair of French rooster glass decanters that bring a decidedly French character to any table setting. Perfect for serving water, wine, or your favorite drinks — equally at home on the kitchen table or the cocktail bar. The feathers, face, and feet of the roosters are beautifully detailed and best appreciated in person, as clear glass is always a challenge to capture in photographs.

These vintage decanters were ordered from France in the late 1990s and came from an Atlanta estate. They did not originally hold liquor or any other liquids and appear to have been used sparingly, if at all. One retains its original plastic stopper; the other has a replacement cap which fits slightly less snugly. The rooster heads simply pull off.

Condition

Very good overall. No chips or cracks noted. Interiors are clean with no residue. Please note: the photo editor used makes the bases appear slightly out of round — photo #4 shows the bases more accurately. Clear glass is always challenging to photograph.
